We have had an amazing 2013 with the farm and the cottage been very busy, thank you to all the guests who have stayed with us.

I know the lovely sunny days helped a lot, we were ready for a good summer and some sun shine; just been able to plan days out and be guaranteed some sun made all the difference. Whilst been able to sit out in the garden with a drink on an evening was just a special treat. Roll on this summer and fingers crossed it’s just as good or even better.

Life on the farm remains busy as always, but that`s a good thing I keep been told. Calves keep been born and the cows are milking well on the robot, Michael has put another robot on his long wish list, watch this space.

My Highland cows are slowly increasing in number; the herd is now made up of seven girls, two hopefully due to calve in the spring. We plan to show them this year at our two local agricultural shows and hopefully bring back some prizes.

Looking forward to catching up with guests who have stayed with us before and the chance to meet new ones.
