Travellers Rest Farm
Welcome to Travellers Rest Farm Holiday Cottage.
In 2008 Michael and I decided to convert our old cow byre into the now desirable holiday cottage. We have the one cottage situated on the outskirts of the farm looking out towards the sea, with undisturbed views to Sandsend Bay. Everyone is welcome on our family run dairy farm; families, couples and pets.
Over the last twenty years we have increased and modernized our dairy herd. Milking 100 cows through a DeLaval 12/24 swing over parlour, which you are welcome to see in action, as well as a farm walk with Michael.
Our main aim is to ensure you have a fantastic holiday, experiencing life on a dairy farm (as much or as little as you want) whilst absorbing the peace and beauty of the North York Moors National Park and our Yorkshires Heritage Coast Line; which runs from Saltburn to Scarborough. You can visit all the quirky coastal villages in between, Staithes, Runswick Bay ,Sandsend and RobinHoods Bay. As we are just fifteen minutes drive away from the historical town of Whitby your days will be filled with adventure and discovery.
